Board recruitment
A board with the right expertise makes a difference when a company is set to grow, raise capital or change ownership. We find board members who add what is missing, not more of the same.

Why should we bring in an external board member?
An external board member brings experience and perspectives that the owners and management do not have themselves. In owner-managed and growing companies, the board often becomes an important source of support when the company raises capital, expands or prepares for a change of ownership. An independent board member can also ask the questions that are hard to ask internally.
What is the difference between a board and an advisory board?
The board is the company’s formal decision-making body, and its members have legal responsibility under the Swedish Companies Act. An advisory board has no formal responsibility and instead advises the owners and management. It suits companies that want experienced advisers at their side without changing the formal board.
How does a board recruitment work?
We start by reviewing the company’s strategy, the owners’ expectations and the expertise missing from the current board. Based on that, we draw up a requirement profile, search for and approach candidates, and carry out interviews and reference checks. You meet the best candidates and make your decision ahead of the general meeting.
How do you handle conflicts of interest and other board appointments?
We review the candidate’s other appointments and commitments before presenting them to you. If there is a risk of a conflict of interest, we raise it early so that you have the full picture before you proceed.
What does it cost to recruit a board member?
It depends on the scope of the assignment and how many board members you need. You always receive a fixed quote before we start, so the cost is clear from the outset.
Can you evaluate our current board?
Yes. We carry out a structured evaluation of how the board works and which expertise it has and lacks. You receive a concrete proposal for the next step, whether that means recruiting new board members or changing how the existing board works.
