About the role

As CFO, you lead the company’s finance function and are responsible for everything from accounting and reporting to budgets, forecasts and funding. You are part of the management team and report to the CEO.

The company is growing, which places higher demands on governance, follow-up and decision support. You will make sure the finance function keeps pace, with clear processes, the right systems and analyses that help management and the board make good decisions.

The role suits someone who enjoys both the big picture and the detail, and who wants to be an active part of the business rather than only being responsible for the numbers after the fact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the finance function
  • Take responsibility for accounting, closing and financial reporting
  • Lead the work on budgets, forecasts and follow-up
  • Produce analyses and decision support for the CEO, management team and board
  • Take responsibility for funding, liquidity and contact with banks and auditors
  • Develop processes, routines and systems as the company grows

We are looking for someone with

  • Experience as a CFO, finance director or from another senior finance role
  • A university degree in finance or equivalent
  • Experience of building or developing the finance function in a growing company
  • A good understanding of accounting, funding and business management
  • The ability to explain figures clearly to management and the board
  • A structured approach and a commercial mindset
